Great Locations for a Date
21st June 2010
If you are new to dating, or just been out of
the game for a while, you may be wondering where to take your date for a nice
date. There are hundreds of places to choose from, even if you are in the most
rural of areas. Where you end up taking your date will depend on the time of
day you are going out, and of course, their preferences. If it is a first date,
it may be wise to run a few ideas by them first. You wouldn’t want to arrange a
nice dinner at a sushi restaurant and then when you arrive discover they have a
fish allergy! The only time it is safe to plan a surprise date, is after you
have known them a while and have a good feel of what he or she would enjoy.
The most common place for a date in the evening
is a nice restaurant. Dinner gives you a chance to have a conversation and get
to know each other. Plus, these dinner do not usually last very long so if the
date turns out to be a dud you aren’t forced to spend a great deal of time with
the other person. A great alternative to a dinner date for the first few dates
is a lunch date. You can do this on your lunch break, or during a day you are
off of work. This will also give you a chance to get to know the person in an
open, public setting.
Bowling is a fun way to spend time with your
date while being able to see more of their personality. Games like bowling,
darts and pool will allow your date to loosen up and have fun so you can see if
they are really someone you could spend more time with. Another place to take
your date to see more of their personality is a comedy club. Comedy clubs are
great because you aren’t forced to sit there and hold a void conversation.
Instead you can check out which jokes he or she laughs at and see if they have
a similar sense of humor as you. This can be crucial for people who look at
sense of humor as one of the most important traits.
Although not as common, art galleries can be a
great place to share conversation and class with your date. Some cities are not
equipped with these galleries so be sure to double check before suggesting it
as a location to your date. You may not have a guy or girl that is into art as
well so be sure to ask some questions and find out their interests before going
outside of the box too much.
For more rural areas, you may be limited to what
is available in your area. Movie theaters are available almost everywhere, but
are not recommended for the first date as you have no time to talk and get to
know each other. If you are stressing yourself trying to think of a location, just
try asking your date!
